8/6/06 - Surgery was pushed back to sneak in an emergency surgery before her. The negative of her being in stable condition; our schedule is dependent on other cases as well.
In other news, we made our first "mistake" this morning and can no longer consider ourselves perfect parents. Going to bed last night we set the hotel alarm clock for 2:00 am for Tabitha to wake up and pump, and then my phone for 6:00 am to wake up and get to the hospital by 8:00 to talk to the doctors and see Taylor before surgery. What we failed to do is switch my phone from vibrate to ring so we never heard the alarm go off this morning. I woke up at 8:10 and look at the clock an realized we had overslept. We called the hospital and luckily her surgery had already been delayed (as mentioned above). Thank goodness God was moving things around to make up for our tardiness. I guess He knew we needed some extra sleep.
Surgery is set to begin around noon and we are about to meet with anesthesia doctors who have just finished up with the preceding surgery.

Thanks so much for the updates. According to your last entry, it is now 1:24, and she should be out of surgery? Can't wait to hear that all is well. Love and hugs, and tons of prayers,
Nina
