Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa/Amanda! Friday night we finally got together to celebrate my Dad's birthday (which was 2/3 -Taylor's 1/2 birthday). This year we decided to go more sentimental and celebratory of my Dad in his gift. The 3 of us girls wrote out letters describing our favorite memories with our Dad and what we appreciate most about him. I think it was a hit! Amanda's birthday is coming up - March 4th. Another room complete! We had some motivation to get our guest room in order -There was a conference at our church this past week that ministry leaders from around the world attended. Soma asks people from the church to host so we thought, we'd put our guest bedroom to use! We bought a mattress, some bedding, and curtains and bam a guest bedroom complete. A couple from Louisville, KY have been staying with us and we've had a lot of fun together. The guest room Today we all drove to Mt. Rainier. Here's Taylor enjoying nature's beauty. Happy Valentines Day Hailey had 3 firsts on Valentines Day 1. First Valentines Day 2. First trip to the zoo 3. First time riding like a big girl in the stroller We asked Taylor what she would like to do for Valentines Day and she said, "Go see the lions!" So we decided to head to the Woodland Park Zoo. Ironically, our friends called to see if we wanted to join them in doing the same thing so we said sure! This is Taylor and her friend Emily. Taylor's Teeth Cleaning Aunt Ashley is a Dental Assistant so I asked her to bring her tools over and check out Taylor's teeth. Taylor held real still and did great. Her teeth look very nice!

This past weekend I went on a women's retreat. We went to Seabrook, WA and stayed in the cutest cottages ( http://www.seabrookwa.com/ ). Kevin offered to watch BOTH girls so I had a much needed relaxing get away. Kevin did great with the girls AND cleaned our garage and painted our master bath. I told him he did too good of a job, he's supposed to make me feel needed and missed! =) While on the retreat we sang a song (the song you hear playing on computer as you're reading) called How Deep the Father's Love For Us . T he words in this song are so powerful. They stir such deep emotion in me, an intense thankfulness for what Christ did. He experienced separation from the Father ("The Father turns His face away") by His death on the cross so I never have to... something that is beyond comprehension for us.
