Hannah is SO BIG!

Image
Hannah has accomplished so much since our last blog post. She is no longer a newborn that just eats and sleeps. As you will see in the following pictures our 3 1/2 month old is quite playful and interactive. Look at her gorgeous smile! Pat-a-cake is a favorite pastime with her siblings. Although it's hard to tell this is Hannah's first trip to the zoo and she is riding like a big girl in her stroller. This was a gift from Hailey to Hannah when Hannah was born. The doll/blankie has become one of Hannah's favorite toys. Play time with dad is sooooo different than play time with mom. ; ) Hannah has discovered her hands and feet. She loves to bat at, grab onto, and kick her toys on her play gym. This girl wants to be upright and in action. Early on we broke out the exersaucer so she could stand and of course it is one of her favorite activities now. For our blogpost finale - a video of Hannah's biggest accomplis...

Easter, Flyball, and Whistler, O My!

Image
So much to catch up on! First, we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus' death on the cross and the forgiveness of our sins on Easter! So thankful He is Risen! We had a great morning at our church gathering then spent the afternoon with family at my Mom and Jeff's house. The kids enjoyed playing with their cousins. Our friends laugh at us because our vacations revolve around our dog and Flyball, but hey it's a great excuse to travel and have fun! =) Spring break coincided with the last dog tournament so we took advantage of the time off school and took Hannah on her first trip out of the country. The kids were troopers as we road tripped it to Canada. We spent the weekend in Surrey/Langley, Canada. You can imagine the kid's excitement when we pulled up to the hotel and they saw this -     Kevin and Taylor spent Saturday and Sunday running Stella. Taylor has been warmly welcomed to the team and is learning to run dogs. She also helps the team by "shag...

Piano

Taylor is definitely gifted in music and arts. Taylor sings in her school's choir, plays in Marimba, she loves a good art project, is a talented writer and she is in her 3rd year of piano. We definitely enjoy cheering her on when recital time rolls around. Here are a few pictures from her recent recital. We are so proud of you Taylor! Taylor and Marcia Taylor and her teacher playing a duet Taylor playing "Music Box Waltz"

Vacation!!! Adding to Hannah's list of firsts - we took her on her very first vacation. Not too shabby for only being 2 1/2 weeks old. For Christmas Ken and Marilyn gave our family a winter get away with them. We were hoping to catch some snow to introduce skiing and tubing to our kiddos, but with Hannah's unknown arrival date we had to pick a date a little later in the skiing season. Unfortunately the ski hill we planned to take the kids to outside of Lake Chelan was closed for the season, but Leavenworth didn't disappoint with plenty of snow on the ground for the kids to play in and a tubing hill that provided an afternoon of fun on our way to our final destination.  Micah and Taylor loved tubing they both went 15-20 times. Hailey was satisfied with the earlier sledding and a warm car with Hannah so she just went down once.   The kids took advantage of the pool at the condo. The adults took advantage of the outdoor firepl...

A couple of Firsts

Image
A full social calendar - Hannah has knocked out her first doctor's appointment, she attended her 1st birthday party, and enjoyed her 1st holiday.   At 5 days old Hannah celebrated her first Valentine's Day. She was pretty cute in her outfit. After Hannah lost the remainder of the umbilical cord it time for that 1st bath. She wasn't so sure about bath time as the picture below captures pretty well. There was definitely some crying, but overall it wasn't too bad of a time. Her hair dried a little curly and fluffy but quickly straightened out.   Random fact from her 2nd check-up- Hannah has an umbilical hernia. Usually they are no big deal and it should heal on its own. Looks like a super outie. Nothing was every said about it, but comparing pictures with Hailey she might have had one too, her belly button looked the same for her 1st month.       Taking opinions - Which pho...
