Kevin and I on our bike tour of the city. Nina's father-in-law was our tour guide and he was amazing. This was one of the highlights of our trip! We rode 13 miles and saw every sight there is to see. Thanks for babysitting Nina! Sorry no pictures of Taylor this day! Boo - I know! Our afternoon at the Smithsonian National Zoo Taylor, Daddy and the White House Me and my dear friend Nina. Thank you (and Christian and Naomi) for having us. 4/29/07 - We're home, as most of you already know because we've slacked on the blog update! We had such an amazing trip. We wore ourselves out sightseeing all day and spending time with friends at night. Thanks Christian and Nina for having us. You were wonderful hosts and you have a beautiful baby girl, we're so happy we got to meet her! We'd also like to thank all of you who prayed for us. Taylor was quite the trooper. She traveled well on the flights, did fine with the time change, and loved getting out in her stroller everyday...

4/25/07- We spent yesterday at Mt. Vernon. We had fun walking around the grounds, exploring the mansion, touching the same bannister that George Washington would have, walking through the rooms that once held the most influential figures in US history, and standing 6' feet away from his tomb. Taylor playing on the grounds Taylor being sworn into office Taylor on the back lawn We are off to the Holocaust museum and then catch our flight home this evening. Hopefully Tabitha will sleep, etc. Pray for us.

4/23/07 - Well we have been hearing complaints about Taylor not being in enough pictures and since those feelings have made it to the blog we made sure to include Taylor in this post. We started the day at the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, but they do not allow any pictures inside the building. We had a couple of delays in getting to the Holocaust Museum so no pictures there either. However, here is Taylor at the Ford Theater (where President Lincoln was shot) Taylor at the house across the street where Lincoln died Taylor during our snack break at Ben and Jerry's If you were able to observe the pattern of today's pictures, we hope you can begin to understand why we do not have a picture of Taylor at every location:)

Taylor's first airplane ride 4/18/07 - WE'RE HERE!!! We arrived safely in Washington D.C. yesterday evening at 5pm EST. Taylor did great on the plane! She had a couple of crying spells during take-off and landing, but during the flight she slept for about 2 1/2 hours and played the rest of the time. THANK YOU so much for all your prayers! Now if you all could start praying for our flight home, it's an hour longer! Well we're getting ready to learn the metro system and see all the sights. Stay tuned for more pictures!

Ahhhh... How sweet! Here is the long overdue picture of Taylor with her Aunt Ashley! Daddy reading Pat the Bunny. This is Taylor's FAVORITE book and she can do everything on each page! 4/6/07 ~ Taylor is getting SOOO big, she is 8 months old now! She weighs 18lbs 8oz and is approximately 28" long. She now has 3 teeth, 2 on bottom and 1 new one on top (it came in about a week ago). Taylor is still working very hard to figure out the crawling thing and every now and then she actually makes some forward progress, but most of the time she ends up going backwards or giving up and rolling around. A couple of weeks ago Taylor learned how to give us kisses which we love! And this just in - today Taylor surprised me with a new trick she can clap! It's ADORABLE!
