Joint Base Lewis-McChord Airshow Hailey is still talking about earplugs and airplanes going "ZOOM!" I believe her new vocabulary can be summerized with the following few words: Loud, Airpain, Zoom, Earplugs, & Up. A fly by from the Stealth B-52 bomber that came from Missouri just to impress us and our fellow spectators. The girls got to play in a couple of the pieces of equipment on display. In the cockpit of the C-17 Rock Climbing Hailey was not about to be left out of this experience. She was adorable and although she looks like she's holding on for dear life she absolutely loved rock climbing. All in all the best part of the whole day is that unlike 2 years ago we did not sit in the parking lot for over 2 hours at the end of the show just waiting for traffic to move and let us off of the base.

Happy Independence Day! We were told by our neighbors that there's no need to buy fireworks around here because everyone else puts on a good show. So, we bought the girls a couple sparklers and called it good. Later in the evening our neighbors invited us to join their firework production. Taylor had a blast running around with Malia (a little girl her age) and watching the firework show. After that we hung out with our next door neighbors and watched the big firework shows going on all around us with some hot chocolate in hand. It was a wonderful evening and good times with our neighbors!

Home Projects After being gone for over 4 months our yard need A LOT of work to spruce it back up. We came home to waist high weeds in our flower beds - OOPS! We did a lot of weeding and planted some more Tiger Lilies, another Hydrangea, Lavender, and Gardenia. I bet our neighbors appreciate it. =) Kevin took a week off work to enjoy Tacoma and being home with his girls. While at home Tabitha put him to work on building gates to completely fence off our backyard. Above are the girls adding their hand prints to the wet cement. Below is Kevin hard at work. I LOVE the fenced in backyard - THANK YOU KEVIN!!!!
