12/17/06 - A couple more pictures for you all (a reward for all the posts on the last update:) Taylor and Angel lounging in Angel's new bed Taylor showing her sitting ability as she plays in her crib We took Taylor for her first professional pictures on her 4 month birthday. Here is one of them, as you can see she was more interested in the props than the camera.

Look at me, I can sit all by myself! (I've been able to do this for the past 24 hours - YEAH me!)

Here's Taylor waiting with anticipation for her very first bite of rice cereal! By the end she was wanting to feed herself! This was Taylor recovering from her 4 month check up and the six shots she received. Taylor weighed in at 16 lbs 1oz and she is 26.25" long! The doctor said "she is growing beautifully."

12/3/06- Last week we went down to the Little Red Barn in the Orting valley and purchased our Christmas tree. This was obviously Taylor's first Christmas tree experience, but it was also our first time in 3 years due to the travel with work. Taylor braved the chilly weather (thanks for the fleece suit Joy) and we got a 45 minute break from the rain. We followed this chilly adventure with a trip to the Seahawks game the following night. It was our first trip to Qwest field and it was a fun game to watch in the snow (the drive home wasn't quite as fun as it took us 5 1/2 hours to get home due to traffic and icy roads). This trip was also our first time leaving Taylor with a babysitter - and believe it or not we all survived it - though there were times in the car sitting parked on I-5 when I thought Tabitha wasn't going to make it (or that she was going to get out of the car and walk home instead):) Taylor showing the "agony" of teething. We still can't see a...

Teething has led to many cute tongue moments - Here is one we finally caught on film Taylor and Zach at the first Thanksgiving Taylor playing with her toys. Does anyone else see a little of my sister Angela???

11/15/06 -We had to share the adorable picture of the first time Taylor fell asleep using a blankie! The other two are of her in her cute new outfit, you can only see the coat but the dress is just as cute!

Four Generations! Kevin and his nephew Zach 11/10/06 - The above pictures are from one of the Quiacusan's homecoming parties. Isn't Zach a cutie? We're excited to have them back in Washington! In Taylor news - she slept in her own bedroom for the first time last night and she did an excellent job! It was a bittersweet night for me... my baby is growing up! =) In other news Taylor seems to be teething which is AWFUL! One would think 3 months is too early but Kevin broke his first tooth at 3 1/2 months and Taylor seems to be following suit; she is cranky and drooling like crazy. We'll see if anything pops out of her gums anytime soon.

11/04/06 - Taylor had another check up at Children's Hospital on Halloween. She now weighs 13 lbs 15 oz and is 23.15 inches long! Everything looked great in her x-rays and the doctor was dumbfounded by her weight and the fact that she is in the 90th percentile! Needless to say we didn't have to talk to the dietician this time! We're awaiting the echocardiogram results but nothing negative is expected. We have to take her back in December to see a pulmonary doctor, Dr. Carter, and then she doesn't need to be seen until she is a year old! Praise God for all the amazing work he has done in Taylor! We're so thankful for our healthy 3 month old!

10/28/06 - Taylor made her first trip to the pumpkin patch/corn maze today! She seemed a little nervous standing amongst the pumpkins that were bigger than her. Overall I think we enjoyed it more than she did but she was a good sport. This outing also led to the first time Taylor wore shoes (courtesy of Grandpa Scott, Laura, and Anna). In sleeping news Taylor slept for 7 1/2 hours straight last night! YEAH! Let's hope she keeps it up! Lastly, tomorrow is Kevin's 26th birthday - Happy Birthday sweetie!

10/17/06 - Look at how strong I am! I'm standing all by myself.

Taylor wearing mommy's old sweater crotched by Taylor's great-great grandmother Taylor's first stroller ride 10/15/06 - Guess what Taylor did for the first time today? She rolled over! Yep at 10 weeks old she's rolling over! Luckily Kevin was here for the event, in fact, I was out of the room the first time she did it so he was the privileged one (I'm a teeny bit jealous). This last week Taylor has had a bunch of firsts. She went in her stroller for the first time, we were shopping (of course) with aunt Amanda, she's still a little small for the stroller but her neck is so strong she reclines in it pretty well. She has also started to grab and hold on to her toys. Lastly I had to break down and trim her fingernails for the first time, I did okay but it's a tricky task.

Going for a walk in the park (mommy had to improvise with the photography) Watching my first movie 10/08/06 - This last week was Taylor's 2 month check-up and she did great! She weighed in at 12 lbs 1 oz (82 percentile) and is 22.75 inches long (67 percentile). These numbers show a continued answer to prayer, Taylor clearly has no eating issues! She also got another round of immunizations (5 shots in her thighs) which she didn't enjoy one bit (mommy cried a little too!). Taylor also took her first trip out of state to the city of roses, that's Portland, OR. Kevin had to work this weekend and we weren't about to go two weeks without seeing him so we packed up and headed south.

10/01/06 - Taylor and I just survived our first week alone while Kevin worked in Woodland, but we didn't enjoy it one bit! =) Taylor is 8 1/2 weeks old now and that means it's time for her 2 month check up and worse yet shots! We recently weighed Taylor on our scale and it said about 12 pounds (no feeding issues here) but we'll let you know the official weight and length after her doctor appointment. Taylor is getting more independent enjoying time in her swing to stare at her mobile and playing with her toys in her play gym. She also loves to go for walks in her Bjorn. Taylor actually enjoying tummy time Taylor wearing one of mommy's old dresses Taylor hanging out with her friend Emily

9/23/06 - Taylor just finished her first week traveling with dad as Tabitha and her traveled down to Woodland so stay with Kevin as he worked on a project down there. (Speaking of work, they will causing mulitiple lane closures on I-5 for the next couple weeks and along with other projects in the area will be making things difficult for commuters. If you are going to be traveling on I-5 North between the border and Woodland make sure you are traveling before 9PM in the evenings, that is when things will start to get all clogged up.) This week away from home also insured that Taylor would continue to have spent more time away from home (4 weeks) since her birth than at it (3 weeks). We also snuck in a couple of visits with friends and families in the areas we were passing through. She also made her first visits to her great-grandparents' houses. Even though she cannot take credit for making any of them "Great," Taylor has now been held by all of her Great-Grandparents. Her...

9/16/06 - Sorry it has been a while since we've posted. We will probably settle into a biweekly posting schedule or so to keep photos coming out for you. Taylor had her blood taken for the last time this month. Her bilirubin levels have dropped so she is off one of her medications. She won't have any labs until her 2 month appointment in October. She is now only on one medication and it is to assist with reflux. Taylor and Mommy enjoying each other at the fair. Taylor has now experienced fair for her first time. We walked around for a couple hours this afternoon and evening, she spent most of the time sleeping in the Bjorn carrier. We made on trip down the "boardwalk" when she was awake and she seem to enjoy staring at all the lights and sights. She even got the chance to see the debut of "Mutton Bustin" at the fair. In the background you can see the sheep recovering from the kids trying to ride them across the arena. At home Taylor has began playing wi...

09/07/06 - Taylor had another doctor appointment today to test her hearing. Of course, it's just fine. We had no reason to suspect any problems the testing is just standard and usually done in the hospital after they're born. This week Taylor has become very vocal, it's so cute! She is also smiling A LOT! We can't wait until she starts giggling and laughing!
