Taylor Time

5 Days Overdue YAY! - My wedding ring still fits! A kiss from big sis! Well, here I am 5 days overdue. It's not looking good for those August voters! =) This is when I went into labor with Taylor and she was born 6 days late. We'll see how closely this one follows that pattern!

Baby/Mommy Update I had another doctor appointment today and I am now dilated to a 4! Everything else is still the same. The midwife said it felt like the baby is in a good position so we're just waiting on her. I told her we're holding out for a September birthday. Obviously there isn't much time left in August, but feel free to participate in our new poll.

Yesterday we took Taylor back to Children's Hospital for her 2 year check-up with the surgeon. I was nervous that she'd be scared having to get x-rays, but boy was I wrong! She did great! Kevin had to take her back, since I'm pregnant, but she sat in the chair and Kevin held her hands above her head and they took the picture. She even told the nurse as they were heading back, "I'm getting x-ray". They hooked her up afterwards with a new doll and stickers. Then, she took charge when we were back with the surgeon immediately asking to see her x-rays. It turned out to be quite a fun day for her! Of course everything looks great and we'll head back next year for a routine check up. Dr. Waldhausen said he'd like to see her once a year until she's a teenager. As far as baby #2 goes we're still waiting... I went to the midwife today and there hasn't been too much change since last week. I'm still dilated to a 2, I am now 80% effaced, and the b...

The Pink Room We have a pink room! It looks sooo cute! Taylor really likes it too. Every time we walk by she has to go in and touch the stripes and she says "Daddy paint it pink!" The one wall is striped in 3 different shades of pink and the other 3 walls are solid in the lightest pink. We still have some decorating to do, but I wanted to show you all Kevin's work! In other exciting news, I went to the doctor today and I am dilated to a 2 almost a 3 and I am 70% effaced! YEAH! Things are starting to happen!

Two weeks left! We're getting very excited. As I am writing Kevin is locked up in the baby's room coating the walls in a light pink color. Thank you Kevin! My hospital bag is packed as well as the diaper bag. I need to get the baby carrier in the car, but I think we're about as ready as we can get! We'll keep you updated.

August Birthdays August is a busy birthday month in our family and we're only making it more jammed full of birthdays with #2! Yesterday we celebrated Grandma Debbie's birthday, Aunt Ashley's birthday, cousin Zachariah's birthday, Aunt Brittney's birthday, and Taylor got another round of celebration. Grandma, Zach, and Taylor playing "Ring-a-Round the Rosy" and then they put on a concert for us. The Birthday Weekend We've had a very busy, but very fun weekend celebrating Grandma Moberg's birthday and Taylor's 2nd birthday! We ended our weekend this evening by watching our DVD of Taylor's birth and stay at Children's Hospital with Taylor. Surprisingly, Taylor was very emotional throughout the hour, in fact, I think she cried more than I did. =) She was very upset any time "the baby" cried immediately after she was born and she was upset watching the baby in the hospital. You could tell she understood something wasn't right with the baby. It was very interesting. We ended our time by praying, thanking God for her life and health.
