Taylor Time

Bubbles Taylor LOVES bubbles! If she sees the container all she says over and over and over again is "bubbles, bubbles, bubbles...."

Sorry this post is a little delayed, but on July 15th we took advantage of a once in the lifetime oppotunity and walked across the new Narrows Bridge. We had some friends and relatives get up early and participate in the 5k race across so they could proudly wear t-shirts that say, "I ran the span." We went the laid back route and showed up around 3 pm to stroll down and back taking a couple of photos on the way. We even drove across the bridge one last time without having to pay the toll.

Greg and Joy had their baby! Lawson Thomas Bennett was born Saturday July 14th at 3:40pm. He weighs 8lbs 11oz and is 21 1/2" long - he's a big boy especially coming out of Joy! =) Joy was in labor for over 37 hours and ended up having a Cesarean Section, but everyone is healthy and doing well!

Taylor's Latest Travel Adventures Kevin had some work to finish up near Eureka, CA so Taylor and I packed up and headed south with him. Since we were so close we took Taylor to Humboldt Redwoods State Park to see some tall tall trees (I was an Alan Jackson fan). With a little searching Taylor happened to find a Redwood tree just her size (see picture to the left). As a souvenir Taylor and I planted our own Redwood (middle picture) - now if we can avoid killing it Taylor's great great grandchildren can enjoy a tree of their own! Wildlife Safari One of our many other stops was at Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR. It is a park where you drive your own vehicles through a gated area where wild animals roam free. As we entered we were told to watch out for the rhino because in the past two weeks he had flipped 2 cars and popped several tires. Then the ranger reminded us we were entering at our own risk! =) We saw the rhino, but luckily he never got too close. We have several fun pict...

07/05/07 ~ The above pictures are from a week ago when Taylor visited the Museum of Flight in Seattle. We had a lot of fun! Taylor especially enjoyed spotting the airplanes taking off from Boeing Field and "talking" to air traffic in the tower. We don't have any pictures from the 4th but Taylor got to experience several fireworks and she wasn't too thrilled. The loud noises were too much for her especially since she was exhausted and not in the best of moods by dark. Daddy did light up a sparkler for her and she thought that was kind of intriguing. Taylor now has 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on bottom. We can feel at least 2 more coming! The poor thing has been in some pain lately with all of the new teeth suddenly coming and she's had a major runny nose. Hopefully it'll be over soon.
