Summer Barbecues This past summer we brought back our weekly Friday night barbecues. We decided a grand finale would be fun for our final BBQ of the season so we borrowed a 12 foot outdoor movie screen and added a movie to our evening festivities. We had an excellent turn out of about 40 people (including kids) and everybody had a blast watching Rio.

* Another long over due post! Homework! Before school started we asked Taylor what she was looking forward to the most about Kindergarten and her answer was, "homework!" Here is Taylor doing her first homework assignment. If you ask Taylor what she enjoys most about school now her answer is.... RECESS! =)

SOCCER! We wanted to sign Taylor up for soccer, but when we called there was already a wait list. The lady explained to Kevin that if he was willing to coach it would clear the wait list and allow Taylor to get on a team. So, meet Coach Kevin! He is coaching 5&6 yr olds. The games will be on Saturdays in October.

Long Beach, WA I'm getting behind on our blog posts and out of order, but such is the busy life with three little ones and a very full schedule. Several weeks ago we enjoyed a quick get a way to Long Beach with Ken and Marilyn. The girls always love staying in a hotel and of course they loved the beach, the swimming pool, and time with Grandpa and Grandma. Taylor found many snails on our walk. Taylor LOVED running in the waves! She did this for quite awhile. Hailey would have but the first wave that hit her feet knocked her down. Here she is soaked and sandy and afraid of the waves. We ended our Long Beach adventure with a friendly go cart race.
