Field Trips

Hailey's preschool recently visited a fire station and the library. 

 It was impossible to snap a picture without another mother's hand/camera in it. =) It is also impossible to get a picture of 4 & 5 year-old kids all looking at the camera.

 Dad and Micah were able to join us. Micah had a blast checking the trucks out with Dad.

 One of the firemen demonstrated putting on all of the gear. I never thought about how this might look scary to a child. They told the kids they could touch the mask and gear, but most were too timid including Hailey. Micah just found his suit, specifically his mask, downright frightening.

We also got to check out their kitchen and gym, hear the sirens, see and hold the hose, and walk through the aid car. Overall it was a great field trip that the kids enjoyed.

 After the fire station we headed over to the library. The kids were fascinated by where the books mysteriously go when you put them in the book drop. Here we are in the back room solving that mystery.
