Family Vacation

We are thrilled to be in California! Some of you may remember our Disneyland/Mexico 9 months ago. Well, we couldn't wait to hop in the car and drive for 2 days again! Actually we had several reasons that made this trip irresistible. First off, we have a new niece to meet! In about a week we will continue south to meet Selah and hang out with the rest of the Moberg clan. Next, the Casey's were taking their annual Cali trip and the kids LOVED the idea of a Disneyland play date. And finally, we literally could not afford to not go on this trip. ; ) Ken and Marilyn bought us season passes last Christmas so we had to take advantage of the time left. I have a feeling we are going to have countless adorable pictures so stay tuned for more.

We drove in to town and went straight to the gates of California Adventure. Taylor earned the honor of picking of first ride which was Ariel (not pictured). We also HAD to check out Cars Land, a brand new area to this park. It is very well done, of course. Above is a family picture in front of one of the many Christmas decorations, a tire Christmas tree in Cars Land.

Micah is still getting used to amusement rides. Overall he is mesmerized and highly entertained.
This ride was a little too much for Micah though. Poor kid cried thru the entire ride. The tires float on air. There is a lot of air blowing straight up and it is noisy. He survived and happily moved on to the next ride.
Taylor is our little dare-devil. The ride she couldn't wait to get back on was "California Screamin" Look for Kevin in the green shirt and Taylor is sitting next to him.
Today we got the honor of riding in the special compartment in both the front and the back of the monorail. This is a picture of us in the back. Micah was sure to wave bye-bye to everyone.
Waiting in line for the submarines. Hailey was our photographer.
 Going down into the subs
On our last trip we successfully crossed off almost every ride, show, character greeting, etc. the park had to offer. The Matterhorn was under construction so Taylor eagerly awaited our return so she could check this ride out. She did, twice.
Hailey is a pro Autopia driver.
Here we are in the front of the monorail with the driver. Taylor was fascinated with how he controlled the train.

This is the view from our condo room. The girls talked about getting in the pool our entire drive south. See if you can find Kevin, Taylor and Hailey in the above picture. Proof that they are in there is in the bottom picture.

This is a picture of inside our condo. A big thank you to Ken and Marilyn who let us use it for the week!
