Mini Vacation
Over the holiday weekend we had the opportunity to go on a mini family vacation. We took advantage of Ken and Marilyn's timeshare and stayed near Santa Rosa in a town called Windsor, CA. It is in the middle of beautiful wine country and for you foodies the home of Guy Fieri's restaurants (Johnny Garlics and Tex Wasabi). We had a great time relaxing, playing shuffle board, swimming in the pool, and we made one last trek to Six Flags Marine World.
Taylor likes to "make rain" while Hailey likes to play it safe by the edge. The girls love the water. Hailey is getting braver every time she gets in the water. She surprised Kevin and I the other night by independently doing "bobs" in our hot tub. Taylor continues to fine tune her newly learned skills and can glide rather well.

Back to Six Flags. This time we enjoyed some new experiences and adventures. Above, the elephant ride.

We got to feed the Lorikeets. This was probably our favorite adventure of the day. It is only available for a half an hour each day so the birds are quite excited for the nectar. When you walk in you have birds landing all over you. Kevin did a fantastic job of capturing our immediate responses to the birds landing on us! =)

After the immediate startle it was a very fun experience.

This bird had no intention of leaving Taylor's hair, eventually we removed it.
