January 24, 2008 - We can now officially remove the (maybe more?). We had our first ultrasound today and saw there is only 1 baby in there (: And now Tabitha can no longer use the possibility of twins as the excuse for her growing belly :).

It seemed like it took forever for the sonographer to show us the heartbeat, but about 5 minutes into the process, there it was loud and clear, about 162 beats per minute. If you look closely at the picture there is a cursor marker at each end of the baby. The head is on the right and the legs and feet are on the left and you can also see two little arms and hands. As you can see in the margin the baby is 2.44 cm (a little less than an inch) long and measured 9 weeks and 2-3 days.
We will keep you updated on the growing belly and don't forget to vote on the expected sex of the baby.

I LOVE ultra sound pictures. They are just a miracle. Isn't it incredible that you have a photo of the person growing inside of your womb! Wow. Thanks for sharing.
