5/3/07 - Today is Taylor's 9 month birthday! Wow, time has FLOWN by! Our daughter is such an amazing gift. We are so thankful that God entrusted us with His incredible creation.

Look closely you can see all three of my teeth. My fourth should be cutting through any day now!




Taylor has officially become a "crawler." She's been working at this skill for 2 whole months! She went backwards first, then decided just to roll around, then she made some forward progress here and there but it never really seemed to sink in, but today she has been crawling all over the place! In fact, Taylor greeted daddy by crawling over to him when he walked in the door from work, it put quite the smile on his face! Here are some pictures attempting to capture Taylor hard at work.

too fun ...i love the teeth ... i think she is gonna be a cheeser heheh her and zach are gonna have to have crawling contests to see who can get into the most stuff!!! love the pics

How exciting!!! Congratulations on reaching the crawling milestone! She'll be walking soon!!
She gets so much bigger with each picture! I can't wait to see her on Sunday...I guess this means I need to get baby-gates now! =)

Wow! How adorable! Yes God is so Good!!!! Love the big smile showing the teeth. Crawling! Wow! Now the fun of learning what she can touch and what she can't. So anxious to see you all again. Have fun on your trip to California! Glad you all get to go! Was dissapointed tho on the dedication for Taylor. Hopefully soon. We know that in your hearts she's already dedicated to the Lord. That's such an important step for parents to take.

We take out the NG tube and look what happens! Before anyone gets too excited her tube was not removed for good. =( Kevin and I were trying to fix the tape that holds the tube in place and had a difficult time, to make a long story short we took the tube out and took the opportunity to snap some adorable pictures. Food update: The new formula didn't work, the first try made her vomit so we scratched that plan. Now we're back to straight breast milk and we're working on increasing her volumes again. Right now we're up to 78cc and we're moving back up to 80cc tonight. So far she is tolerating it very well. I think her tummy is ready for the 80cc it just needed more time to stretch naturally. She is also continuing to increase her oral intake. Right now she is averaging 30 cc from breastfeeding (YEAH Taylor!) last night she even took a whopping 50cc! 8/8/06 (1:00 pm) - The rollercoaster continues... Taylor had some difficulties as she tried to adjust to breathing without the ventilator. They tried a couple of different treatment options with some success and eventually the got her carbon dioxide levels to fall, but not far enough. In order to keep her condition from getting worse and her body from stressing out even more (giving things a chance to affect her heart) they put her back on the ventilator. She is resting confortably now and the stress levels for Tabitha and I have decreased substantially. The nurse assured us that even though this attempt was not successful in weaning her from the ventilator we should not view it as a failure. She will need a couple of days to recover and relax and then they will try to do it again. They learned some things about her body and reactions to the procedure that give them information on how to modify the procedure next time to increase the chances for success. 8/21/06 - Taylor had another ultrasound today to look at her liver. Her bilirubin levels had dropped but they recently noticed they are starting to go back up and they aren't sure why! Her feeding volumes are back up to 75cc - so far so good, but she always starts off good. Next feeding we are going to go back to fortifying the breast milk with a different formula to see how she tolerates that. If this plan fails our back up is to try feeding her every 2 hours with smaller quantities instead of every 3 like we're doing now. The results are just in, everything looked normal in the ultrasound. So we are just working on solving the feeding issues. Taylor loves Mommy Daddy bores Taylor
